Ostaco has introduced 2 new  window lines in 2007. They include the Core-plus and the Core wood. If you haven’t already seen one ask your rep to show you the samples.

 Another new offering from Ostaco is the new and innovative addition to their casement hardware options. The Encore hardware, by Truth, is a sleek contemporary operator which offers the same reliability and strength of a Maxim operator but with a more elegant appearance.  Now standard for the Core plus and available on the 4000 series for an additional charge. Hi-lights include full flip folding handles, smaller sealable housing gaskets. The handle actually folds into the operator cover. Allowing easy screen release without removing the crank handle, and greatly reduces the interference of the handle with window treatments.

Ostaco introduced Neat naturally clean glass from Cardinal. Neat glass harnesses the power of the suns UV rays to loosen dirt so water can rinse it away, leaving windows virtually spotless. "Here's our story," the Almonte man wrote. "We recently moved into a new home. We had to make a gazillion decisions in this building process, all within an incredibly short time period.   On May 12-13^th Lambden showcased our most energy efficient windows and doors at The Green Energy Transportation Show . A show aimed at empowering homeowners, commuters, the eco-conscious & Ecocurious to THINK, but more importantly, EXPERIENCE the “Green” products and services they can incorporate into their daily lives now, so that they may make a personal contribution towards reducing the effects of environmental harm, climate change and fossil fuel energy dependency.

The Green Energy and Transportation Show was Ottawa’s first ever consumer show dedicated to thinking green. It featured energy efficient sustainable home products, keynote speakers, energy efficient and hybrid vehicles, alternate energy sources, eco fashion show, live music, eco art, environmental organisations, health and wellness products, education activities and a green kid zone.

This exhibition was long overdue and occurred at a time of immense public discussion, debate and interest on such subjects as energy conservation, climate change and environmental degradation.
